Vy Dong

Vy Dong was born in Texas and grew up in California. She completed her PhD with David Macmillan and pursued postdoctoral studies with Robert Bergman and Kenneth Raymond.
She began her independent career at the University of Toronto, where she was promoted with tenure. In 2012, Vy returned to the United States to assume a full professorship at UC Irvine. Her research team focuses on catalysis and its applications in the design of methods, strategies, and reagents for organic synthesis. Professor Dong serves as an Associate Editor with Chemical Sciences.
