Presentation title: Quantum sensing based on optically stable coherent color centers in diamond generated by high-temperature annealing

Professor Sen Yang got his B.S. and Ph.D. from Tsinghua University and UC San Diego respectively. He is currently an associate professor in HKUST.

His group is working on quantum effects in semiconductor materials. His research achievements include the first directly verification of BEC in exciton gas, optical quantum memory based on single nuclear spin, the first demonstration of quantum sensing with color center in high pressure instrumentation, a novel invention of laser writing, extension of decoherence times of color centers and quantum signal filter based on quantum nature.
