Ryan Simkovsky

Dr. Ryan Simkovsky is Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Algenesis Materials, where he directs research to scale up conversion of algal biomass into biodegradable polyurethane products.

In his prior role as a project scientist at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), Dr. Simkovsky’s research focused on crop protection, regulation of biofilm formation, and cyanobacterial genetic engineering. Dr. Simkovsky holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a BS from the California Institute of Technology (CalTech).
