Talk title: Ionosilicas as tailor-made anion exchange materials

Dr. Peter Hesemann graduated in 1991at the Philipps-Universität Marburg/Germany and obtained his PhD in 1994 from the same University. After a post-doctoral fellowship with R. J. P Corriu at the Université Montpellier 2 in 1995-96, he joined CNRS as research scientist in 1997.

His research interests concern functional ionic systems such as task-specific ionic liquids or ionosilicas, i.e. silica hybrid materials containing covalently bound ionic groups.

Since 2018, he is the head of the CMOS (Chimie Moléculaire et Organisation du Solide) team of the Institut Charles Gerhardt in Montpellier.
