Minghua Liu

Minghua Liu graduated from Nanjing University in 1986 and received his PhD in 1994 from Saitama University, Japan.
After doing postdoctoral research in RIKEN (1994-1997) and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Industry (1997-1998), he joined the Institute of Photographic Chemistry, in 1998 and then the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, from 1999 until now. Since June 2013, he has served as the Director of the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, China.
His research interests cover colloid and interface sciences, supramolecular chemistry, self-assembled nanostructures and gel-based soft nanomaterials. He served on the international advisory board of Soft Matter, Langmuir, Advanced Science, Nanoscale Horizons, and Chirality. He has published more than 300 papers in international peer reviewed journals.
