Talk title: Purification of biopharmaceuticals using ionic-liquid-based strategies

Mara G. Freire is a Coordinator Researcher at CICECO, Chemistry Department, University of Aveiro, the Director of Group 5 - Biomedic and Biomimetic Materials - within CICECO, and member of the Scientific Council of University of Aveiro and of the Young Scientists Seminar of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences.

In addition to other projects and awards, in 2014 Freire was awarded with a European Research Council (ERC) Grant. Her main research interests comprise the development of sustainable separation platforms for added-value compounds with therapeutic properties.
